I’ve been there - grinding through training, giving everything on the field, and still feeling like something was missing. As a female athlete competing in elite junior AFL, I quickly realised that a crucial piece of my performance puzzle was absent: nutrition. We had no professional guidance, and I was left to guess my own fuelling and recovery strategies.
I remember hitting energy plateaus, struggling to recover, and watching teammates face the same challenges. Female athletes were expected to figure it out on their own.
That experience is why I created Spice Nutrition. Drawing on my background as an athlete and my expertise as a Sports Dietitian specialising in female athlete nutrition, I developed programs designed specifically for women in sport and hybrid training. The approach is practical, evidence-based and fully personalised - supporting fuelling, recovery, performance and long-term health.
