——— How It Works
The 4 Phases:
01
Your program starts with a comprehensive 1-hour deep-dive. Bella will assess your current health, training demands, lifestyle, body composition and nutrition habits in full — food intake and timing, training load, recovery strategies, sleep, stress, injury history, medical status and supplement use. Your sporting background, competition phase, personal values and performance goals are all part of the picture. This is the foundation everything else is built on.

Week 1-2 · Initial Assessment + Athlete Performance Audit
02
Week 3 · Meal + Supplement Plan Development
Using everything from your Athlete Performance Audit, Bella develops a fully personalised meal and supplement plan aligned with your training demands, competition schedule and lifestyle. Practical, flexible and realistic — built around foods you enjoy, your cooking skills, cultural preferences and time constraints. Supplement recommendations are evidence-based and batch-tested. Nothing added that isn't necessary. Nothing missed that could make a difference.

Week 3-10 · Implementation into Everyday Life
This is where most programs fail — and where Spice is different. Five fortnightly review sessions keep your plan accountable and adaptive. Bella provides practical coaching to make nutrition work around training, travel, work and social life — meal prep, eating on the go, competition weekends, shift work. You'll build skills and confidence around food, not rigid rules. Direct contact between sessions means you're never left guessing.

Week 10 & Beyond · Long-term
The final phase focuses on long-term consistency and strategic adjustments across the season. Your nutrition plan is periodised to align with pre-season, in-season, finals, off-season and rehab. Regular reviews monitor body composition, performance markers, recovery and injury risk — making proactive changes before problems arise. The goal is autonomy: leaving you with the knowledge and tools to fuel consistently and adapt confidently, season after season.

— Sarah M. AFLW Athlete
"I went into the program thinking I already knew a lot about nutrition. I came out realising how much I'd been getting wrong — and performing better than I ever have."
— Emily T. Elite Soccer Player
"I'd been struggling with my Achilles rupture recovery for months. Bella identified where I was going wrong in the first session and left me feeling confident in my return to sport. Genuinely life-changing."

——— Your Coach
Meet Bella Rennick.
Bella is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Sports Dietitian (AcSD) with a Master of Dietetics from Deakin University. She's also a former elite AFL athlete — u18 Eastern Ranges NAB Talent League, Hawthorn VFLW Training Squad, and senior women's captain.
That combination of clinical expertise and lived athletic experience is what makes the Spice Performance Method different. Bella doesn't just know the science — she's lived the demands of elite female sport, including navigating a serious Achilles rupture and the long road back to full fitness.
She's worked with 1000+ athletes across AFL, AFLW, Soccer, Rugby, HYROX, Athletics and CrossFit, as well as at the AFL Coaching Academy. Every athlete she works with gets the full depth of that experience — not a junior practitioner, not a template, not a chatbot.

Frequently Asked:
-

The Spice Performance Method is a high-touch 12-week coaching engagement built specifically for female athletes — with ongoing sessions, direct contact, and a plan that evolves with your training.
-
No. Bella works with athletes at all levels — from elite junior and semi-professional athletes to recreational competitors who are serious about their sport. What matters is your commitment to the process, not your current level.
-
The program is delivered fully online via video sessions, meaning you can work with Bella regardless of where you're based. For Melbourne-based athletes, in-person sessions may be available on request.
-
This is built into the program. Bella specialises in making nutrition work around the realities of team sport — travel, double sessions, away games, irregular schedules. Your plan will be designed with all of that in mind from day one.
-
Yes — and in many cases injury is exactly when nutritional support has the most impact. The program can be adapted to support injury recovery, including Achilles and ACL rehabilitation. Bella will adjust the nutrition strategy to match your rehab phase and reduced training load.
-
The goal of the program is to build your nutritional autonomy — leaving you with the knowledge, habits and tools to fuel yourself independently. Continuation packages are available for athletes who want ongoing support across further seasons.
